Fine Arts & Crafts
Sponsored by Dallas Morning News and WFAA TV Channel 8An important aspect of the Denton Arts & Jazz Festival is the juried fine arts and craft show. There are 160 spaces available both indoors and outdoors. The artists and craftsmen will occupy 3 locations, traveling from many cities in Texas and representing the states of New Mexico, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Colorado, Iowa, Maine, Arkansas, Oregon and beyond. The Civic Center will house 39 fine arts booths with a variety of artwork for sale. Some artists prefer the outdoors. There will be 50 spaces for fine arts & crafts on the lawn outside the Civic Center.
In addition to the multimedium of the Civic Center, diverse art, representing different cultures can be found in both areas. Original and one-of-a-kind paintings in oils, pastels, watercolors, acrylics and pen & ink will attract hundreds of buyers. Sculptures in wood and bronze, fine wood crafts, stained glass, photography, porcelain and stone pottery, and unusual jewelry are just a few of the beautiful creations available.
Approximately 70 arts & crafts booths will be located outdoors in the north part of the park. Here you will find clothing, metal & wood crafts, jewelry, paintings, candles, masks, puppets, dolls, etc.
